Leftists Aren’t Capable Of Surviving Economic Collapse – Here’s Why

December 14, 2022

By Brandon Smith

There is one factor that constantly stands out as absolutely essential to a person’s chances at surviving a crisis event, and that factor is mindset. Experience and training are highly valuable, having proper tools and preps on hand is a huge advantage. But in the end, without mental toughness and the ability to adapt the most prepared person in the world will still likely bite the dust.

Mental toughness is something that can be taught, to a point. This is the entire purpose of basic training methods used in the military: To take mundane details and elevate them in the minds of trainees while wearing them down with physical punishment. The goal is to condition the mind to ignore distraction, to ignore fear and pain while focusing on the task at hand. Failure is not an option in war, just as it is not an option in survival. Those who embrace distraction and embrace failure because they think it will make things easier for them are filtered out of the recruitment pool, or the gene pool.

It is no coincidence that the US military today is dealing with some of the worst recruitment conditions they have ever seen in terms of people being physically and mentally incapable of finishing basic training. The Pentagon currently estimates that 77% of young Americans are unfit for recruitment without a waiver for obesity, drug use and mental health problems. Meaning, Gen Z is so unfit physically and mentally if there was a major war almost 80% of them would be erased from existence.

The problem has become so bad that militaries in the US and throughout the west are being forced to lower standards just to meet minimum personnel goals. One can argue that many young people don’t want to join the military anyway, but this is besides the point. Even if they wanted to, they would not be up to the task.

There are a number of reasons for this development, but I would suggest that the spread of leftist ideology among 63% of Americans age 18-29 according to polls has created a survival vacuum – A generation of mental weaklings.

It’s important to remember that younger people have adopted more liberal views for decades, but the political left is not liberal today. The leftists of today are full-bore Marxists, both economically and culturally. They support establishment centralization, they support economic centralization, they support corporate centralization, they support authoritarianism and censorship, they support moral relativism and they applaud the concept of an all pervasive welfare state.

In 1980 you might have been able to find a large number of mentally tough people that considered themselves Democrats. Today, you will not find anyone.

With America hovering in a precarious netherworld between stagflationary crisis and deflationary crisis depending on which poison the Federal Reserve chooses to give the country, the stage has been set for an economic disaster similar to the Great Depression or worse (read my analysis on this situation HERE). In two years or less, our system, which is already dealing with a number of threats including high prices and supply chain instability, will not remain functional in the manner most people are accustomed.

If we accept this inevitability, we must then ask a logical question: Who is going to rebuild? Whoever inherits the mantle will either bring America back to freedom and prosperity, or plunge our society into perpetual tyranny. It all depends on who survives the crisis.

One thing that gives me some hope is the fact that leftists as a sub-group of our population are completely incapable of surviving a major economic crisis event. This is not to say that I wish them all to die; I’m only pointing out the reality that most of them won’t make it because they are ill equipped to handle a calamity. Here are the reasons why a post-collapse world would probably be devoid of common leftists…

Leftists Thrive On Crisis, But Die Out During Collapse

Leftists have a tendency to exploit crisis and tragedy to shore up power and expand their numbers through fear, but there’s a problem with this tactic. If the crisis is fabricated, a tempest in a teapot, then they do very well; if the crisis turns into an actual disaster with real world consequences including financial decline, supply chain disruptions, shortages and civil unrest, they have no tools to deal with the effects other than mob action and looting.

What happens if they use mob action and looting when the rule of law is no longer a factor in a country with millions of guns? They will die, by the tens of thousands, as people defend their businesses and homes. The violent hordes we witnessed during the BLM riots would not last long during a collapse scenario where people are more inclined to use deadly force.

Leftists Are Anti-Preparedness

The political left has spent the better part of the past 15 years demonizing the concept of preparedness as a tinfoil hat philosophy for “right-wing extremists.” They have set themselves up for complete failure by refusing to acknowledge the practicality of prepping, just so they can attack their political opponents. The stupidity of it is truly mind boggling.

There are some indications that the covid lockdowns may have shocked a small number of them out of their foolishness. It’s hard to deny the threat of economic collapse when the beginnings of collapse are right in front of your face. That said, prepping is not the only requirement for survival, and progressives buying a few months of food and some guns is not going to save them.

Leftists Have An Aversion To Hardship

The vast majority of people that argue in favor of an expanding welfare state are on the left. While conservatives support individual charity for those that deserve it, leftists believe that people need to be forced by government to provide and pay for others who may not deserve it. This ideal is driven by their desire to avoid hardship.

I find that leftists often have delusions of grandeur. They assume that they are destined for great things, that they are smarter than the rest of us and that work or sacrifice are problems relegated to the rural “peasants” in “flyover country.” Their vision of work is a daycare, a college campus, a place to socialize, find comfort and self identity, do the minimal amount of labor required and then collect a paycheck. Just look how leftist dominated Twitter was being operated a few months ago – It was not a workplace, it was a day spa for lunatics.

These kinds of people are not equipped to endure the backbreaking struggle necessary to build a survivable environment. They wouldn’t know where to begin. When confronted with hard times, leftists do not ask “How can I fix this problem and improve my situation?” Instead they ask “Who is to blame for my misery and how can I make them pay?”

Leftists Have No Practical Skill Sets

The avoidance of technical skill sets is a real problem for progressives. There are a handful of people on the left that engage in micro-farming and other basic skills as a form of activism, but they are few and their methods are limited by their ideology. As noted above, leftists believe themselves to be too valuable to be wasted on production. Rather, they see themselves as “management,” the people in charge of the people that do the manual labor.

A person could get by on that kind of thinking in a first-world environment where office jobs, tech jobs, government jobs and social work is the norm, but in a collapse environment there are no management positions, there are no office workers, there are no elementary school teachers, there are no trust and safety advisors, there are no platform moderators and there are no bureaucrats. You either have a valued knowledge set that can be traded, or you have nothing. You can either produce necessities for yourself, or you can’t.

The development of the information age and the data driven economy of first world nations has made matters even worse by convincing people that data is a currency. This is a concept that leftists in particular adore because they think labor will become a thing of the past; they will only need their brain and a laptop to provide everything they need. It’s a delusion. The “Metaverse” is a facade, a con, and there will always be a need for humans to dig in the dirt, to forage and hunt, to farm and to build with their own hands. As the economy derails further, progressives are going to realize this too late.

Leftists Rely On Government To Fix Their Problems

If the idea of taking matters into your own hands is abhorrent to you, then you might be a leftist. Leftists view individual action during a crisis as almost criminal; it is important to them that the correct authorities with the correct permissions handle any dangerous situation. Leftists love to defer to the “experts” because this takes the responsibility out of their hands, along with the blame should something go wrong.

But what happens when government is not functional enough to save the day? What happens when inflation or supply chains or personnel shortages make it impossible for government officials to help. What happens when government officials don’t want to help? What happens when they are corrupt and they want to see you suffer?

Leftists rarely consider such possibilities. For them, the idea that government could break down, that the grid could break down and that the rule of law could break down is a conspiracy theory. It has only happened hundreds of times around the world in modern history, but because they have never experienced the threat personally they think it is impossible. These are the kinds of people that die very quickly during collapse.

Leftists Value Feelings Over Reason

The root foundation of leftist ideology is that everything is relative according to one’s personal feelings. That is to say, they believe that their feelings shape their reality, and that “their truth” is the only truth that matters. There are some subjective truths that are near-universal which is why moral conscience is a thing that exists in every culture in the world. That said, personal ideals are still subject to the forces of nature.

You cannot pretend that you are not starving when you are starving. You cannot pretend that you are not dehydrated when you desperately thirsty. You cannot feel your way out of a crisis, the crisis is not subject to your fantasies, the crisis will step on your throat and teach you otherwise.

At bottom, their feelings do not matter. They are irrelevant. And this is a lesson leftists will learn as the system continues to degrade. They can cry and scream and wail and make all the demands they want for fairness and equity and welfare but in the end they will face the clarity of self reliance or they will face the Ferryman.

It’s not my purpose here to revel in the erasure of the political left. I am only pointing out that modern leftist ideology is a product of extremely safe and controlled environments where people have the privilege to engage in frivolity. They THINK they want deconstruction. They THINK they want chaos as a means to break the system and rebuild it in their image. What they don’t realize is that if they get what they want most of them will die in the process and they will not be around to see their naive Utopia come to fruition.

I just hope it doesn’t happen this winter. It feels cold already.

    • Juri December 15, 2022 at 2:33 am

Russian Revolution in 1917 happened in the winter and in the country, where WW I was going on, so there were tens of millions guns and war experienced men. Yet snowflakes won.

“this can not happen with us” is very delusional mindset. This mindset doomed French aristocracy and Russian aristocracy and many other countries where people laughed on snowflakes until it was too late. Last 100 years there are almost not examples when communists lost . Somewhere they were pushed back for a while like Hitler Germany or Pinochet Chile.

Leave those guns alone. Nobody will use them and everybody knows that. Guns are just replacement therapy. Communists taking over and nobody has no idea how to stop it, so everybody going out and buy more ammo. Buying ammo is common magic ritual what we have seen in many collapsing countries. When nobody knows how to avoid coming disaster, then people turn into magic, read prayers, getting religious items, crosses, relicts, guns, ammo.

Left is not some sort of screaming cattle but world most powerful and richest and best supplied men form from them invincible fighting force. I am pretty sure that Gates and Sores has food for 10 million strong army for years. This gun owners resistance is typical peasant revolt and peasant revolts always up one way.

So I recommend not to hope on the magic army what you don’t have but better analyze why commies are always winning. Global Elite has more finances and organizational power that random prepper so you may be sure that future Red Army is well prepared and well supplied. Communists are the absolutely last people who should afraid of freezing or starvation.

Your comparison is completely off the mark. The Bolsheviks were part of the WORKING CLASS producers in Russia, the people who made things and fixed things. The woke leftists of today are part of the elitist class with most of them in academia. No amount of money or supplies will ever turn them into an effective fighting force or make them capable of survival. To argue otherwise is delusional. Also, if the Bolsheviks had faced off against the American citizenry they would have been annihilated, which is why the elites consistently have to use subversive means in the US instead of overt color revolutions.

        • mongoos December 15, 2022 at 3:49 pm

BRAVO!! Peasant revolts often result in change. It’s hard to defeat a people from the top down who are united from the ground up.

Both Juri and Brandon make excellent points. While I can’t claim to be an expert about the Bolshevik Revolution, I can say I’m a first gen American from both sides with history going back to Russia and China only because of the spread of communism in Russia and China. What my parents and grandparents experienced first hand is the reason I’m born here.

But 1917 was over 100 years ago. What I mean by that is not only the people were different but so was the method of imposing radical change. 100 years ago was by force. One grandfather was taken to a gulag and died there after an estimated 10 years of hard labor. By the way that makes me a grandson of a slave. The other grandfather was lucky to get out alive. I have stated repeatedly that these days nothing will be taken by force. People will walk into their 5G prison cells and happily close the door. This has been going on for quite some time with the advent of modernism.

From a theological perspective, the 1917 revolution was allowed by God because the people blasphemed the Holy Spirit. This was prophesied by St. John of Kronstdat in 1905. Same as today, we are witnessing a large group of people who have completely embraced everything antithetical to the teachings of Christ. This is not limited to the obvious hell raiser but includes people who are otherwise decent but don’t put the effort into maintaining a true Christian lifestyle. I fall short of this goal every day. I understand that this site does not necessarily touch this subject but I also see so many people commenting about how to fix the situation but are still left without answers. A problem that seemingly has no solution means that people are looking for a solution in the wrong place.

          • Steve December 16, 2022 at 8:59 am

“From a theological perspective, the 1917 revolution was allowed by God because the people blasphemed the Holy Spirit.” I’m sure that was very comforting for the many millions of innocent victims. No-one is looking for Christians to solve this situation.

What makes them effective is that capable people are willing to do their bidding for the money they offer. As long as they print the money & the money motivates others, they have power. The money is the ammo that they use. When people no longer accept it, then they will be weak & will fall.

Eactly the way I see it. Summation of events too very soon to take place. The “4th turning” is now quickly the real crisis stage. In addition , we are in the middle of the major war cycle. 2021-2025.

Perfect answer…Been saying we’re in the Fourth Turning for the last 2 years.

Little thought of reason was the Elites used Trump to push the vax thinking we’d all follow…But we didn’t trust Fauci the NIH/CDC or FDA.

God has His plan, and His plan is perfect. yep, He does not make mistakes. He both raised up and declined empires throughout history. we do not know His will or His time. someone once said, “if you want to hear God laugh, tell Him what your plan is….”
always thought that I would neither help nor hinder libs fleeing cities. but, being a sucker for little children whose parents did not do them right, I will cave. peas, corn and green beans on sale 59 cents a can. (7 bucks/case of 12) dropped off a bunch of cases at local food pantry for their Christmas baskets. they tried to thank me, but I said “hell, I spend more than that on alcohol and gambling” (but that was simply just bragging….)

“… A generation of mental weaklings… The leftists of today are full-bore Marxists, both economically and culturally… What they don’t realize is that if they get what they want most of them will die in the process and they will not be around to see their naive Utopia come to fruition.”
    .
Increasingly… it looks like Freedom Lovers should look upon Leftists as being sickly and damaged suffering people. This is not meant as a slam but as a stark identification of what They are and how They think and act. These folks are simply not well in body and mind.
    .
And how does one deal with a damaged person in the course of their day? Demonizing them doesn’t help anything. Calling them schoolyard names just makes one look juvenile.
    .
These people are all part of a massive, State-sponsored Cult. They support and reinforce each other. They hate everything that is not part of their Borg Cult. They have lost the capacity for clear thinking and feeling. In fact, they do not think at all. They have lost the ability to empathize and show compassion.
    .
Are they dangerous? Any cultist can be a danger, especially to those Freedom Lovers who represent such an existential threat to them and the Left’s twisted sense of identity and purpose.
    .
In short, they live for The Cult and nothing else. They have no other life.
    .
Anyone coming out of the school and university system today? God help them. Nothing but sickly indoctrination in Nation and moral and ethical-hating mind viruses. Nothing useful being learned to deal with the realities of Life or in how to make them a better person.
    .
And of course, we have Anti-Social State Media to thank for pumping pure garbage into people’s minds and thoughts 24 hours a day without left up. Pure unadulterated sickness being pumped into the brains and veins of people of all ages.
    .
Left-ism has become a religion unto itself. A deviant, false religion of the kind that was promised in the Bible to arrive. No wonder they hate Christians or any form of spiritual person. Just like any established religion, they hate all those who don’t see things their way.
    .
They think they are so clever and woke. But all they’re doing is repeating the same human failing and missteps that humans have fallen in to for ages. But since they have no sense of history… they will never, ever realize that.
    .
Society has always had its portion of sick or deviant people. But up until now, never in the kind of numbers we are living with today.
    .
We are living a big social experiment in seeing how things turn out when deviancy is made part of everyday life and is institutionalized and becomes looked upon as desirable and normal.
    .
How does one fix a very sick Society? Has history shown us a single one that was able to fix itself after falling so deeply into pathology? No, because the sickness has never been World-wide like today.
    .
As such, may God have mercy on us all.

    • Gauntlet33 December 14, 2022 at 1:53 pm

Hey Roundball, I agree with your sentiments, and I also pity the left and often wonder what caused them to fall as victims into the Leftist cult…was it extreme psychological trauma such as rape? was it just simply decades of brain-washing? I don’t know, but I pity them nevertheless, and I don’t hope for a mass die-off, and simply hope that justice prevails, where those who caused the harm over the past couple years be punished.

      • Roundball Shaman December 14, 2022 at 5:39 pm

        G33…

Dr. Gabor Maté has written a brilliant book, “The Myth of Normal: Trauma, Illness and Healing in a Toxic Culture”. This book does not answer for all the reasons why Leftists and all people in general are so confused and struggling today. But it goes a long way to begin to explain why in detail.

I would expand on what the Doctor says by saying that our Nation and People have suffered a massive National Trauma since 1963… and repeated again in 2001. We have never recovered from those and other events (like Vietnam). And this opened the door to all kinds of physical and mental pain and confusion which have had decades to fester.

      • Mike December 14, 2022 at 7:38 pm

“often wonder what caused them to fall as victims into the Leftist cult…”

It hit me only a few years ago. The idea is this: if one turns away from God, it’s the same thing as turning away from Truth. God IS the Truth, and “they” have chosen to become incapable of perceiving Truth.

I think it’s been a slow brainwashing for the last 50 years. The globalists have long-term plans and are content just knowing that their plan will come to fruition, even if they don’t live to see it, just as the Early Christians did. Why? Because the globalists’ Father is Satan and he counterfeits everything that God does.

Beverly Linton: “The globalists have long-term plans and are content just knowing that their plan will come to fruition, even if they don’t live to see it… the globalists’ Father is Satan…”
          .
Whether one calls Their source the Devil or not, Globalists think THEY ARE gOD. They do not acknowledge any other deity or power in opposition to Their own. They suffer from the classic ‘delusions of godhood’. Whether or not they dress it up with ancient hidden beliefs and blood lines it’s just the same old self-deluded deification of self. And Their long-terms plans points out the timeless generational pathology that They live within and by. They are so steeped in Their twisted beliefs that nothing will ever dissuade Them from those ideas.
          .
In terms of the Ten Commandments… Globalists don’t even make it past the First. But since They don’t believe in that anyway this does not bother Them.
          .
And for anyone tempted to bow to Them the coming challenging days (think the coming Digital Currency, etc.)… what does it make a person who does give in to that? Lots of names come to mind…

  • Gauntlet33 December 14, 2022 at 11:04 am

Hey Brandon, another great article. I think you make a lot of very solid points, and I often find myself wondering where I fall on the political and preparedness spectrums. In other words, my political ideals are such that I fervently support the Constitution and particularly the 1st and 2nd amendments (and have a few firearms and thousands of rounds of ammo), personal property rights, etc. but I often wonder how prepared my family would be for a real collapse scenario (and I assume that many others here wonder the same). I also have plenty of canned food to last a few months, but after that, we would have to grow/raise our own food, and with a relatively small backyard in Los Angeles, CA, I wonder if we could provide for ourselves long(er) term. And while I’m tempted to get some chickens for eggs and goats for milk, I hesitate because it’s obviously a real drain of time to tend to these things when work and kids are currently top center. Anyway, I’m not asking for any advice, and anyone here can feel free to flame away and tell me to get off my @ss and get to work on the garden, but I’m just putting it out there the setting that I’m guessing many other families in urban settings may be in. As an example, a bag of organic spinach is about $2-3, but growing that spinach would cost me MUCH more in time and material inputs (seeds, water, dirt).
    ..
Your quote: “modern leftist ideology is a product of extremely safe and controlled environments where people have the privilege to engage in frivolity. They THINK they want deconstruction. They THINK they want chaos as a means to break the system”
    ..
Your quote reminds me of what Alan Watts once said (and I’m very much paraphrasing here)…basically that those who have what one would consider to be an idyllic life want chaos as it brings some zest to what would otherwise be a boring existence for them. They think they want that chaos until they see that they can’t handle it and can then go back to their very safe and controlled environments. Kind’a like a kid on a wild rollercoaster.

    • Steve December 14, 2022 at 4:36 pm

I’m probably too old and physically infirm to survive much social upheaval, but I intend to make a go of it is the brown stuff hits the fan. Getting out of cities and into smaller places where you can build networks more easily, seems to be the most important thing.

    • RobertoM December 17, 2022 at 12:48 pm

Kids and family are exactly why you should do the garden and chickens. Do it with them not for them. Learn and pass on that knowledge. In a crisis there most likely wont be enough forage for goats in LA. They eat a lot and the milk doesnt go that far

    • Andy Trupin December 19, 2022 at 11:33 pm

Yes, a chicken coop that is functional, spacious and attractive is not cheap, nor is a sizeable vegetable garden easy to maintain, but when you cannot obtain store bought goods at any price, or when those prices skyrocket, and those two resilient options are in place, they provide valuable peace of mind. I left south Florida for rural Kansas, and converted all of my retirement money into farmland leaving a career as a professor to become a homesteader. Now a dangerous storm and freeze is bearing down, and my mental stamina is being put to the test.
A price cannot be put on the beauty, and quiet order of my new world, nor can my gratitude for being around people of like mind and righteous spirit be overstated.

  • Steve December 14, 2022 at 12:19 pm

Excellent article – as usual. There is a massive reality gap between the incredible smugness and arrogance of the Left and their actual capabilities. In their arrogance, they think they created all the good things that exist around them. They don’t realise that they are living off the capital – often literally – of hard-working conservative generations before them who constructed the current, rapidly fading landscape and all the goodies that went with it. The perfect metaphor for Leftists is the Poseidon Adventure scene (the 1973 one, not the crappy Woke remake) where the ship is upside down and the passengers are just coming back to consciousness in ships main hall. Most want to stay and wait for outside help; a small group wants to take the initiative and fight for life. I leave you all to guess which group is the Lefists.

  • Edith December 14, 2022 at 12:22 pm

Well, at least some good old common sense! Thank you, I feel no more alone. The cold solar cycle for next decades will make them thing that they never have been able to control the climate. Like I used to say to young women: “Greta cannot stop volcanoes to erupt (and they create more pollution than cars), even if she try to sit on them!” I suggest them to listen to “Outlander TV episodes”, would you enjoy living in these conditions before the washing machine was invented by the horrible white man?

  • Steve December 14, 2022 at 12:23 pm

Another point to add, is that your theme here, Brandon, is a warning not only to useless Leftists but also to conservatives. The system will both come after us and it will crash. We need to build alternative structures to replace it, and forgot about “winning back” the usual prizes like Potus, Congress, etc. These structures are over and done with. I’m still amazed at how many conservatives think the GOP is on their side and that if only we get a conservative guy in the WH in ’24, ’32, ’36 we can put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Also I have heard that 19 out of 20 leftists have been vaccinated compromising their immune systems, causing heart conditions, blood clots, and cancers. They will die at a higher rate than those of us who had the common sense to wait.

  • Rodster December 14, 2022 at 2:39 pm

Well written and well thought out. However I will disagree with Brandon on one thing. I do wish all those on the left do die. They wish that on those who love liberty and limited government. They hate when people see government as an interference to the pursuit of liberty as it consumes more power to control the population. Ronald Reagan once said, the 9 scariest words in the english language are: “I’m from the government and I’m here to help”. The left doesn’t want to accept that there are those that just want to be left alone.

I have hit hard times over the years where I literally was down to a few hundred dollars and possibly living on the streets. I never took a dime from my State government or asked for help from Washington. I worked my way out of that and turned things around. The Left doesn’t like that. They want us to be beholden to Mommy and Daddy government.

With these youngsters the very thought of missing a meal throws them into a state of disbelief. They fall to the ground and curl into a ball crying – not for Mommy – but for Govie. “Where’s my handout, Wahhh!”

  • mongoos December 14, 2022 at 3:44 pm

As you have pointed out in previous articles, Brandon, when the system crashes it will be to our advantage because it will then become Open Season on the globalists and their liberal lackeys, and they will be annihilated. They have neither the skills nor the stomach for a real fight. If we are organized, it will be helpful, but as We outnumber Them by some tens of millions and they can’t get our guns, I think the odds favor Us in any event.

The encouraging thing is that we are already witnessing pushback around the world. It first started with the Canadian farmers. They did their best to be civil and the government cracked down on them, “VIOLENTLY”.

Those who love and pursue liberty around the world took note. Now you are seeing civil unrest breaking out around the world. In the Netherlands, the Dutch farmers are not playing games and are resisting. The same is happening in other parts of Europe such as Italy and Germany. The Media will not report that because they don’t want to encourage others. Regardless it is going to happen anyway. One of my favorite quotes is from Gerald Celente who founded the Trends Research magazine and he said:

“When people lose everything and have NOTHING else to lose, THEY LOSE IT”.

You cannot feel your way out of a crisis, the crisis is not subject to your fantasies, the crisis will step on your throat and teach you otherwise.” Beautifull almost poetic, thank you for this article Brandon, when TSHTF the ceiling goes brown.

This perfectly sums up the Left. The Left is only interested in destabilizing society. That includes Drag Queen hour in schools or Joe Biden hiring a freak, Sam Brinton who calls himself the Pup Handler to oversee the nuclear waste program.

Good article. But I would caution you. Never underestimate your enemies. Yes, Generation Z and the Millennials may be physically and mentally weak, but take a look at our southern borders. These Marxist politicians and their useful idiots are inviting physically tough and desperate white-hating invaders who will be waiting for orders when the time comes. They can arm them and point them in the direction of Red States with the promise of loot. Then sit back and watch.
I saw this starting in the early 70’s in SoCal when I was young Deputy Sheriff. Yeah, they were cheap labor. But they brought their violent, ignorant, savage culture and lifestyle with them. It won’t take long for them to swarm over any enclave which still has food, means of production, and healthy citizens. All of the sheeple, normies, cucks, and fence-sitting members of the Dead Elephant Party will be meat on the table. Plan accordingly.

    • mongoos December 14, 2022 at 10:27 pm

There won’t be enough of them. ANTIFA has the same mindset, and they run like rabbits when confronted. I can attest to this personally as I live in the Portland area. Arm up; ammo up. No problemo.

      • DWEEZIL THE WEASEL December 15, 2022 at 9:55 am

Word. Here in Winterfell (North ID) we are armed to the teeth. When ANTIFA threatened to burn down the Coeur d’Alene business district, armed citizens responded. When two carloads of these thugs and thugettes showed up, they quickly exited back to the bowels of Insleeland. However, we still have a huge population of folks who I described above. Most are in denial and still believe in voting our way out of problems. My worry is they will become the Leviathan’s snitches, just like the block wardens in Castro’s Cuba. I and my tribe play our cards very close to the vest. Bleib ubrig.

Leftists run at the first sign of real resistance, I have seen it happen personally. Just look at the mob chasing Kyle Rittenhouse and how they ran for their lives when he fought back. Also, the illegals will run back to Mexico when there are no handouts anymore, just like they did during the covid lockdowns. They are not capable of accomplishing what you describe if resistance is in place. They are only capable of targeting people who can’t defend themselves.

  • JM December 14, 2022 at 5:57 pm

We can’t forget the fed threat either. Joe Burden called us MAGA’s and made some veiled nasty comments. “They” don’t mention what they take as a threat, without having a plan to do something about it.

Though, they had their chance with the covid lockdowns and they failed. They are deathly afraid of armed America; they know they can’t win an asymmetric confrontation. They are trying to destabilize as much as possible to weaken us first. Their plan will not work in the long run.

      • Rodster December 15, 2022 at 9:23 am

^^^ This. The Left is trying everything they can to disarm America. Everywhere it has been implemented the government turns authoritarian. People would be wise to NOT give up their guns and the founders of this country gave us this right, not to protect ourselves from others but from our own government.

How is Montana when it comes to Liberty? Here in Florida it’s a toss up depending on what county one lives in. Although Governor DeSantis has recently said he is now going after Big Pharma in our State for lying to the public about its safety.

So far, moving here 12 years ago is the best decision I ever made in terms of political security. The public stopped following the mandates after three months when it became clear the virus was not a real threat. The state legislature blocked all mandates and potential vaccine passports not long after. There’s always room for improvement, but it’s hard to find a better state than Montana when it comes to liberty.

          • Rodster December 15, 2022 at 9:53 am

I read on ZH that the Governor decided to impose mandates on a certain sector of health care and government. Did I read that wrong?

I’ve been tempted to leave Florida and consider Montana.

I think that the healthcare lobby and the CDC are tying to prevent him from removing the mandates in hospitals. Florida seems like a good place to be, but if you like low population density Montana is the way to go. Just know that everyone and their mother tried to move here last year and that drove up home prices. Luckily, there are very few properties for sale in the state which makes it hard for too many people to pack in at one time. Watch for property prices to start falling next year.

          • Rodster December 15, 2022 at 3:47 pm

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, if I went there I would probably be renting. I like the sound of low population and that is one of the pulls about Montana. I’ve read that the State has a total population of 300K? Does that sound right?

I’m going on an interview tomorrow with Firestone where I live and if I take the job, I checked and they have a few locations in Montana, Bozeman is one of them. I would probably have to work there for a year before I could transfer.

Leftists are lost…but lets try to save Conservative youth…Please spread this message to the youth of the USA – especially the youth that is considering “serving” their country by joining the military: Why would you volunteer to be an enforcer for what are obviously insane foreign policies that make the USA less safe and create blowback like the 911 twin towers attacks? You are volunteering the best years of your life to be an enforcer for policies that are literally destroying this country and risking your life for a small group of Globalist Kleptocrats that control a Banking Cartel that funds & further controls Government, which is by definition an inherently inefficient, wasteful, and coercive territorial monopolist of ultimate decisionmaking & violence…Governments and everyone on their payroll live off the loot stolen from other people. They lead a parasitic existence at the expense of a subdued and “host” populace.“ This is what you want to volunteer to be an enforcer for? Find something productive to do if you want to play soldier – like join a local militia – it will become valuable when the USA in the not too distant future when the USA breaks apart & becomes Balkanized…

    • Zenit08 December 15, 2022 at 1:31 pm

It is absolutely essential that all conservatives become “anti-recruiters” and strongly discourage young adults from enlisting. That goes in spades for veterans, whose prior service gives them extra credibility. And you are right about the impending breakup of the USA. Conservatives should cheer it, not fear it. The new conservative republics will quickly recover and prosper.

  • Hubbs December 15, 2022 at 10:48 am

This comment is dear to my heart, as I have a daughter in college aspiring to become a Physician’s Assistant. At least she likes shooting (a lot more than I) and so when I pass will hopefully be able to inherit my firearms. She has attended several firearms training courses. But she is thinking about enlisting in the Air Force or Marines when she finishes college to help pay for PA school ( 2 years for 100K) even though I have advised her to avoid debt at all costs and have been paying her undergrad tuition and offered to pay for PA school. Carrying a 200K debt burden, even with a STEM degree these days, arguably not so much in the past, is now economic suicide.
But to her credit, I think she doesn’t want to burden me.
I stress to her to have skills. Medical, ham radio, setting up a solar powered system, electrical and plumbing skills, and for now, quietly reading about a parallel lifestyle of homesteading to minimize the inherent learning curve failures in such an endeavor.

I am of the opinion that most people who join the armed forces do so for economic reasons, not to “Serve their country.” All I hear is people joining for the “benefits and pensions. “ This is almost a derivative of going into politics: not to serve your country, but to enrich yourself at the public money trough. And the wars the US has engaged in since Viet Nam have been those against third world powers. Those who join the armed forces think that they will never be wounded, traumatized in such asymmetrical conflicts, ( talk to those wounded and crippled by IEDs or suffer from PTSD) but what if they ever have to face a capable enemy in symmetrical warfare?

I suspect that is the dirty secret why the US does not dare send troops to fight on Ukrainian soil- but again, I am not qualified nor informed to even state an opinion. Not only are our troops not up to the task, but our weapons like the HIMARS ,Javelins and Patriots may be at best hit or miss.
So joining the military, if even for a 2-4 years stint, can have many advantages and open many doors, but it also has risks. I just don’t know. I never served, but did register for selective service when I turned 18 back in 1972. My number, 254, was near the end of the line on the draft lottery, plus they were winding down the Viet Nam war anyway.

I have traveled the political spectrum over my life. I have been both a business owner and government bureaucrat. I have seen and continue to see the stereotypes the right and the left hold of each other. Both have some validity. Both tend toward hyperbole as the rhetorical competition heats up.

Progressives tend to be futurists and conservatives tend to be nostalgists. Progressives see conservatives as clinging to the dead past. Conservatives see progressives as living in a fantasy of the future. So…are you a flake dancing with unicorns and wearing your pussy hat while sipping a latte…or are you a guy driving down a gravel road listening to an endless song about how daddy’s Chevy and mama’s cornbread are the benchmarks of all that’s proper? Is anybody’s life really that simple?

Many a leftist lives in a tent as you read this. Many a conservative has never sweated a joint, notched a rafter and skinned a deer. There will be some surprises about who survives and why.

    • Avatar photo
Brandon Smith December 16, 2022 at 3:45 pm

Some stereotypes exist for a reason – They are accurate. The stereotype of the weakling leftist is derived from observations of their actual behavior, while their stereotypes of conservatives are based on their biases and lack of personal interaction. Also, while there are exceptions to every rule, that does not mean the rule changes. Leftists do not engage in survival training, they engage in RECREATION. There’s a big difference. They see survival training as “conspiracy theory” and that’s contrary to their politics. Living out of a tent for a week or two down the road from a resort town because you can draw from a trust fund set up by mommy and daddy is not proper preparation for surviving a collapse. If you think so, then you are living in fantasy land. The fact is, most leftists today are completely unequipped to survive while far more conservatives are. Reality is not fair, it is what it is.

Yeah, that’s why people have been fleeing leftist cities by the millions in the past three years. You must have schizophrenia, every single claim you made is the exact opposite of the facts. The vast majority of leftist cities are in economic freefall with exploding homeless populations, rising crime and massive debt. Blue states are STILL not recovering from the pandemic lockdowns while red states are thriving. Leftists like you will be eaten alive by your friends in those “thriving cities” while we sit back and watch with popcorn. • Greg B. December 16, 2022 at 9:28 pm

Something else to take into account is the fact that Leftists by and large tend to congregate in the big cities while conservatives tend to prefer suburban and rural areas. The cities have little to no natural resources of their own so they’re almost entirely reliant on the rural areas for resources. The only thing the cities have going for them is the fact that they’re centers of trade and industry so when the supply chain finally breaks that goes out the window. Plus those areas tend to be nexus points for totalitarianism even at the best of times.

    Brandon,
I don’t understand what you mean by this: “There are some subjective truths that are near-universal which is why moral conscience is a thing that exists in every culture in the world.”
What is a “subjective truth”? Are you talking here about, for example, whether it’s okay to steal bread to save the life of your hungry child?
I find this sentence intriguing and would greatly appreciate your helping me better understand what you mean by it.

Brandon Smith December 18, 2022 at 6:52 am

I’m talking about natural law and the factual existence of archetypal conscience. The vast majority of people follow a similar moral compass regardless of culture. If we did not, then humanity would have destroyed itself centuries ago. This is not to say that all people have an inherent conscience, just the majority. Obviously, psychopaths and sociopaths do not.

Speaking of Bolsheviks Brandon, I believe Solzhenitsyn made on of the most profound modern history statements of our time: “You must understand, the leading Bolsheviks who took over Russia were not Russians. They hated Russians. They hated Christians. Driven by ethnic hatred they tortured and slaughtered millions of Russians without a shred of human remorse. It cannot be overstated. Bolshevism committed the greatest human slaughter of all time. The fact that most of the world is ignorant and uncaring about this enormous crime is proof that the global media is in the hands of the perpetrators. Food for considered thought. Best Wishes Bill Webster
